Dorothy Burdette Dorothy A. Burdette is the Owner of It’s-Your-Day Gift Baskets (since 2010); the Author of I Never Felt Loved (2018), and The Trio Kids (2010). She is a former Fortune-Five-Hundred Flight & Truck Ops Manager for FedEx Express; and a former Senior Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Dorothy is a native of Sardis, MS, and currently resides in Acworth, GA. She states that growing up in poverty inspired her to work hard, and to strive to be an over-achiever.

Dorothy “emphatically” states that her FIRST and FOREMOST greatest reward has been her walk with The Lord (Jesus); that through her friendship with God she has experienced growth and stillness, spiritual strength and endurance, inner and outer beauty, AGAPE LOVE and GRATITUDE, and an endless list of wonders and possibilities…

… Secondly, her daughter (Keely), and three grand-children (Bryanna, Charlie, and Marlon) the highlights of her life, who continues to teach her structure, patience, and what it means to be a good parent, and to give unselfishly.

…. Though not last, the late Terence L. Smaw, her BEST FRIEND of 26 years, who encouraged her to laugh often, to ALWAYS show up for others, and to love unconditionally…

Dorothy states that she can “vigorously” say that God has been good to her, and she has no complaints…
